The Commodore 64 and Pacman

The Commodore 64, often abbreviated as C64, is a home computer developed by Jack Tramiel, an American entrepreneur of Polish origin. The C64 was introduced to the market in 1982 and became one of the most sold and popular personal computers of its era. It was equipped with an 8-bit MOS Technology 6510/8500 processor and had 64 kilobytes of RAM memory, a substantial amount for the time.

Jack Tramiel, together with the significant contribution of Chuck Peddle, led the development of the Commodore 64, which was a huge success thanks to its advanced graphics and sound processing capabilities. These features made it a popular system not only for productivity applications but also for video games, including the famous Pac-Man, which was ported to the Commodore 64. Thanks to its competitive price and vast library of available software, the Commodore 64 became an icon in the history of personal computers of the 1980s.
