How the Mac with the M1 Processor and 16 GB of RAM Performs

Apple has unveiled the new Mac with its “home made” M1 processor, no more Intel. Of course it works great, and Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, has stated that 2020 was a stellar year: 30% more Mac sales. The revolution is very simple: Apple does everything in-house, on its own, hardware and software. In other words: I make it, I sell it. A paradigm that has ALWAYS worked, provided you always stay at the top, both in research & development and in technical execution. Although Apple is far from dominating the global market, with figures between 10% and 15%, there is currently no direct competitor that builds both hardware and software. This effectively makes it a leader in its field.
