Is Facebook free for businesses?

The short answer is: NO

Any business service has a price, and Facebook is no exception.

To be sure we ran several tests independent of existing pages. A single fan costs (on average) between €0.21 and €0.67. Once acquired (for example) 1000 fans, only a maximum of 5% (that is, 50 people) will see what you write. How do you reach them all? With €1 of sponsorship on a single post you can aim for 150 of your fans. Do you want to hope that all 1000 fans see your post? You’ll spend between €5 and €7, just for 1 piece of news.

This is why you need a budget for Facebook. This is why it’s worth hiring someone to manage your Facebook budget. This is why Facebook is NOT free.
